AUR20520 Certificate III in Automotive Servicing Technology

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required for employment in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.

Course information

The qualification has been specifically developed to meet the needs of the automotive retail, service and repair industry. As part of their training, the trainee will perform a range of servicing tasks in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.

They will preform tasks including discussing problems with drivers/users to identify basic auto faults and carry out their own troubleshooting processes. They will inspect and service engines, cooling systems, brake systems, steering and suspension systems, drive shafts and final drive assemblies.

Successful completion of the course will result in the issuance of a Certificate of Qualification and a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for AUR20520 - Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology.

There is no licensed outcome for this course.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Participants must be employed and registered under a training contract as an apprentice.

Tec-NQ conducts a learning, literacy and numeracy assessment as part of its enrolment process.

Eligible apprentices who meet the Queensland state funding requirements will be charged a set fee of $1.60*/nominal hour. Certified training is GST free.

Nominal hours for each unit of competency are provided in the training plan.

Fees are set by the Queensland Government department that is responsible for training. Fees are subject to change over the course of an apprenticeship.

Some students may be eligible for concessions. Fee free training is available for apprentices under the age of 25, who commence or are undertaking a priority apprentice or traineeship qualification from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2024.
