Queensland Manufacturing Institute is proud to partner with Tec-NQ to bring you the one day Women Who Weld Experiential Program.

Do you want to travel the world? Build race cars, armoured defence vehicles, submarines or huge infrastructure? Would you like to own your own business? Are you a numbers person? Do you love working with your hands, as well as technology? Are you a master craftsperson at heart?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, a welding career could be exactly what you’ve been looking for! This one day workshop is being offered to Year 10 students to explore the skill of MIG welding and gain insight into trade skills as a potential pathway into the advanced manufacturing sector.

This hands-on workshop highlights how welding incorporates science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths (STEAM) — demonstrating how these skills are applied in real-world industries.
