Course information

This upskilling course will equip the participant with the skills and knowledge to service and repair air conditioning systems in cars and heavy vehicles.  It is designed for those with an automotive trade qualification or who are currently completing one through an apprenticeship.

This course involves fitting, installing, servicing and repairing of air-conditioning units on various types of vehicles.

While undertaking this qualification, participants gain skills and knowledge in:

  • Workplace safety
  • Tools and equipment
  • Air-conditioning servicing
  • Air-conditioning diagnosis and repair
  • Air-conditioning retrofit and modifications

AUR20220 Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology

Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for AURETU102, AURETU103 and AURETU104 and .

A Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology will only be issued once evidence of all units has been supplied and verified as correct.

This qualification will enable participants to apply at Arctick.org for a AAC02 Refrigerant Handling License.

Various units are required to be completed before a Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology can be issued. These units can be awarded via credit transfer or RPL. Please refer to the course flyer.

To gain entry into this course, participants must have an automotive mechanical trade or be completing the qualification as part of their apprenticeship training.

Participants must apply for, and provide a copy of a trainee handling licence issued by ARCtick. Refer arctick.org to apply.

Training is delivered face-to-face, for a duration of 4 days.

Delivery of AURETU102, AURETU103 & AURETU104 includes theory and practical assessment. Remaining units will be assessed through RPL and or Credit Transfer.

This is a fee for service course with an upfront cost due on enrolment.
