EARN THE RIGHT TO WORK

Tec-NQ won’t promise you a career in industry. You have to work for it and it all starts with the basics.

There are certain employability skills that students are expected to demonstrate in order to access work placement through Tec-NQ’s industry team and employer networks.

Jobs Queensland has recently released its Townsville Workforce Development Plan for 2020-2025.  Tec-NQ was featured on page 12 of the report available in the link below.

Tec-NQ supported development of this report by coordinating industry visits for with local manufacturers.

One of the recommendations made in this report which was finalized in November (the release was delayed due to COVID) was the establishment of a Gateway to Industry School Hub for Engineering and Manufacturing (now Advanced Manufacturing).

Tec-NQ has been established as the hub for Townsville, establishing us as the lead school for advanced manufacturing pathways.
