As the principle trade pathway provider to school-based apprentices in the region, Tec-NQ was a proud supporter and the diamond sponsor of this year's Smart Futures for Kids North Queensland (SF4NQ) event. The Tec-NQ marquee offered try-atrade activities in construction, engineering, automotive and electro-technology. The traffic through the tent was non-stop as 3300 students from Ingham, Ayr, Charters Towers, Townsville, Mt Isa, Cloncurry, Hughenden and Palm Islandmadetheir way through the event. Attendees had the opportunity to speak face-to-face with students and facilitators to find out more about the college. Tec-NQ Marketing & Communications Manager Tanja Cornford said the event was an overall success for Tec-NQ. “The skills on show at the expo gave over 3000 students the opportunity to have a taste of each trade area we offer. The event also gave us an opportunity to introduce our new brand to the public and position ourselves as the premier provider for the technical careers we offer.” The Smart Futures 4 North Queensland (SF4NQ) is held every year in May. |
